Hello — I’m Daniel
I shoot weddings the way I shoot my own life: on film, mostly quiet, always a little grainy.
Based in Las Vegas with a second base in the Bay Area, and on a plane anywhere a good excuse takes me.

How I got here
My grandfather left behind a shoebox of Super 8 reels — birthdays, a road trip, my mother at nine years old squinting into the sun. No sound, no titles, half of it overexposed. I have watched it more times than any wedding video I have ever been sent.
That is the bar. Not cinematic, not viral — watchable in thirty years by someone who never met you. Film gets there faster than digital does, because it is picky about light and generous about everything else.
How I work
One person, one bag, no lighting rigs and no posing. If you notice me, I am doing it wrong.
I shoot two or three rolls on the day and cover speeches, first looks and anything unrepeatable digitally, so nothing rests on a roll surviving the lab. You get the edited film and every scan, untouched, to keep.
- Super 8
- Loose, grainy, closest to memory. Best for elopements.
- 16mm
- Sharper, wider, worth projecting. The one most couples pick.
- Digital
- Sound, low light, long speeches. The safety net.
